Tantalic Oxide
Description:
Tantalum pentoxide (Ta2O5) is a white colorless crystalline powder, which is the most common oxide of tantalum and the final product of tantalum combustion in air. Mainly used for pulling lithium tantalate single crystals and manufacturing high refractive low dispersion special optical glasses, it can be used as a catalyst in chemical industry. Normally, tantalum pentoxide should be oxygenated during the deposition process, which is particularly suitable for depositing optical multilayer films such as AR. Under optimized conditions, a film layer without optical absorption in visible light can be obtained. Widely used in the preparation of multi-layer interference films for optical communication filters.
Product Application
Tantalum pentoxide is used as an intermediate in the preparation of tantalum metal, optical glass, electronic instruments, and tantalum carbide.
